You have access to the Equity News Index (EQ-S10) from the Thinking Text free data API: a daily index of what the news says about twelve US large caps, plus a general market read, read by a language model from thousands of articles a day.

Files:
- stocks/index.json: every name (lower-case code, ticker, company) with its latest value. Only the "published" names form the index; "kept_back" names are computed but not steady enough; "market" is the general market read.
- stocks/spec.json: the slot families, the market read and peers rules, the card and level rules. Read it before interpreting any value.
- stocks/<name>/latest.json: the last complete press day for one name: value, parts (company, market read, peers), slot families, price, attribution cards.
- stocks/<name>/history/all.csv (or <year>.csv / .json): one row per market day since 2022.
- stocks/summary.json: per-name numbers of the index page's heat map and scatter; stocks/<name>/backtest.json: one name's back-analysis.

How to read it: values are z-scores of the news flow on a trailing year (standard deviations). close is the adjusted close; r1, r5, r20 are log returns in percent; k<K>_implied is the news-implied k-day move.

Files change once a day (final values each morning UTC): download once and cache, don't poll.
Free for research and non-commercial use, with attribution ("Source: Thinking Text, thinkingtext.com"). News analysis for research and entertainment: not a forecast, not a trading signal and not investment advice.

With a key saved in this browser, the examples carry it, ready to paste.
